Well, this year’s fete went off very well. The weather was once again very kind to us – not too hot with very little wind. In fact, just right for our fete . A big thank you to everybody who helped in any way and especially to those who planted plants, made Craft /Preserves, Jams cakes etc. You are the people that make the fete what it is, and without your hard work in what you do it would be a very poor day indeed.
Thank you to the Devonshire Teas ladies and to Baker’s Delight and parishioners for their donations of scones. It was so lovely seeing lots of people sitting around the ta- bles enjoying their morning tea with family and friends.
To all who stayed outside (the B.B.Q., Trash & Treasure, Plants, Motor Accessories) sometimes it is hard on you as you are left out of the hub of it, no matter what the weather is, but you are not forgotten and we are very grateful to you for staying out in whatever comes your way.
It’s always great to catch up with people on this day, and this year it was lovely to see Pamela Strongman once more who is now living back in Victoria. I just had time to say hello to Mike Ellis and to greet our friends from St John’s Wantirna and all those who came just for the day out.
But what more can I say but a big “thank you” to all those who came and worked on our stalls. Helen V
