Parishioners organise activities among themselves from time to time throughout the year. There is a walking group, bicycle riding group …
Many of us get together one evening in early December to watch the switching on of Christmas lights at Frank and Helen’s house which is decorated with lights and nativities inside and outside. You can see reindeers on the front lawn, Santa on the roof, train cycling around Christmas tree, … Carols are sung, food is served and the Christmas spirit is with us. The electricity company loves Frank.
A knitting group is also setup and you are encouraged to talk to Helen. What about movie night, end of year dinner … just to name a few. There is always something going on.
The next Parish Movie evening and Meal at Pinewood will be on Sunday 17 May.

Come along to the church on 27th May at 7.30pm and be entertained by self confessed Bruce Cockburn tragic (aka the Vicar ) with the music, the life and the words of this great musician.
Many thanks to Glenda for the great supper after the Bruce Cockburn “Tribute Show” last Wednesday evening. Over 30 people gathered to hear some of the work of this iconic Canadian singer/songwriter/guitarist/activist. There are still a couple of copies of ‘fragments’ of his lyrics for the poetically inclined.
Joe is celebrating his birthday this week in June and it is an important one. Graeme B organised a 80KM bike ride to mark this occasion. The birthday boy, riders and support team all had a wonderful time. The weather couldn’t be better. Calm and bright but a little on the cool side though. That is perfectly fine as the warmth of fellowship is among them. Well done everyone.
On 15 August 2015 the Holy Name Singers gave a wonderful sing-a-long at the Vermont South Shopping Centre. The singing stopped the shoppers and many enjoyed both the music and fellowship . The community spirit is in the air. Many thanks to all singers who gave up their Saturday time to support this function.
